Reflective Diary 30-7
to be continued
This is a Blog set up to reflect on an e_Learning course I am undertaking.
I am now starting on Assessment Task 2 (typical me - do in the wrong order!).
Some of the learning theory is a bit old hat and not useful for me to go over yet again.
The assessment has highlighted some remaining confusion about Strategies, some of the strategies on the Flexible Learning site include strategies that may be web 2 tools. E.g. is a blog a learning strategy, a web 2 tool, or both? Some of the presentations from last week were including learning theories and learning styles which also seem to have a relationship with strategies. I also think it may be useful to differentiate between teaching strategies. communication strategies and collaboration strategies.

I have completed Assessment 3, and will upload it to Moodle.
Will present this at the next Webinar. Have also completed Assessment 1. Intersting to look at my thinking on this and what realistically I can achieve. Remain concerned about SWAHS agenda leading some of this and need to look at how educational considerations can maintain control.
SWAHS seems to be led by: Senior Managers with cost agendas, reduce or eliminate face to face; and Computer 'experts' with little educational design.
I've had a start at Assessment task 3 and put a Powerpoint together. Not sure if I am quite getting the point. I am pursuing the idea of looking at blogs and their possible uses. I need to explore a range of options and look at their possibilities, at this stage. This probably influenced by a global approach. I need to include something on attitudes since this has become a bit of a preoccupation.
Thinking about quetions to ask when planning e-Learning. I'll elaborate these and resources to support answers to the questions in my notes.
I'm in the process of looking at my assessment task on tools and learning styles.
I think it is important to consider not only the learning styles of the learners but also the material being covered.
I have chosen Blogs to look at, but may also look at using video material to change attitudes.
I'm also interested in the extent we develop styles in learners, rather than just provide material in their preferred mode.
